The ICE-1 workshop is the discussion forum for the Spanish scientific community (Spanish researchers from any national or international institution and researchers of any nationality who are doing research in our country) that currently work in the field of quantum information. The subjects range from fundamental aspects (entanglement and quantum correlations, new algorithms, etc.) to the realization of devices, such as processors and quantum simulators. This year’s edition will dedicate a special session to the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the publication by John S. Bell of the inequalities that bear his name and that form the basis of the interpretation of quantum entanglement and it’s applications. The workshop is organized by the Instituto de Ciencias de Materiales de Aragón (CSIC-Universidad de Zaragoza) and the quantum information group from the Real Sociedad Española de Física.
The workshop will take place in Zaragoza from June 25th to the 27th and will be the second edition of this workshop after its successful first edition (ICE-0) in 2012 in Madrid (more information at ICE-0).
