First official call for abstracts for ICE-1

Registration and Payment deadline: May 15th, 2014

We are glad to announce the first official call for abstracts of the second workshop on Quantum Information in Spain (Informacion Cuantica en España ICE-1), which will be held in Zaragoza, from June the 25th to June the 27th 2014.  The deadline for registration and abstract submission via this web page is May 15th, 2014.  In order to promote the attendance of everybody with interest in this topic, registration costs have been kept to a minimum (50 euro).  Registration for the official workshop dinner (actually, it will probably be a lunch), on June the 26th, is also open (30 euro).

Concerning your accommodation in Zaragoza, the organizers have blocked 80 rooms at the 4* hotel Melia Zaragoza, located right at the center of the city and not far from the University campus, at very attractive prices.  More information and booking instructions can be found in the “Accomodation” section of this webpage.

We look forward to welcoming you in windy Zaragoza!

ICE-1 announced

The ICE-1 workshop is the discussion forum for the Spanish scientific community (Spanish researchers from any national or international institution and researchers of any nationality who are doing research in our country) that currently work in the field of quantum information. The subjects range from fundamental aspects (entanglement and quantum correlations, new algorithms, etc.) to the realization of devices, such as processors and quantum simulators. This year’s edition will dedicate a special session to the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the publication by John S. Bell of the inequalities that bear his name and that form the basis of the interpretation of quantum entanglement and it’s applications. The workshop is organized by the Instituto de Ciencias de Materiales de Aragón (CSIC-Universidad de Zaragoza) and the quantum information group from the Real Sociedad Española de Física.

The workshop will take place in Zaragoza from June 25th to the 27th and will be the second edition of this workshop after its successful first edition (ICE-0) in 2012 in Madrid (more information at ICE-0).
